Everybody knows that staff training is important for any business.  Right?   After all, if you don’t train new staff successfully then they won’t be effective, they won’t be engaged and may feel overwhelmed. The question is how do you train and educate new and existing staff in a fun, memorable and cost effective way. The answer for many businesses is video. Video has the advantage of training and educating the viewer, while also engaging them. This means your staff will retain more information and will be effective sooner. Here are the reasons why videos are ideal for training and […]

Use these 5 simple tips to help you create engaging, compelling and successful corporate videos. 1) Determine the Purpose of the Corporate Video The most important step is to figure out the purpose of your corporate video. Corporate videos are ideal for communicating to your clients, or your staff. They are an effective tool for advertising, branded content, corporate communications, sales presentations, customer service, training or internal communication. So ask yourself what is the purpose of your corporate video. Is it to: • Find new clients? • Engage with existing clients? • Find new employees? • Share important news with […]

Business is all about trust and relationships. And one of the best ways to build trust is to engage with people by telling your story. Why? Because everyone loves stories. We heard them growing up. In fact, stories have been the main way of communication for thousands of years. When stories are told effectively, they engage, capture and inspire your audience. And they allow people to connect with you and find out about the people behind the brand. It’s no wonder storytelling is the most valuable way to connect with your audience. And one of the best ways to […]

This year, Rochelle will take the stage to discuss how businesses can use video as part of their marketing strategy. Providing practical advice, she will share her knowledge of what types of video you should be sharing and ‘when’ in your strategy timeline. What I find is that many people don’t realise that there is sort of a timeline of what should be shared first and so forth. To be truthful, it wasn’t until I did a webinar series run by Ben Amos from Innovate Media, that it all made sense. I hope to explain and give some examples of […]

WHERE IT BEGINS When meeting people for the first time, most will ask what we do. Instinctively the words “we create videos for small businesses” pops into mind. Video content for the world of business can vary depending on what the purpose and audience is. We often label the types of productions so people can identify with the product. There are testimonials, training videos, brand stories, documentaries, events, promotional videos and the list can go on. And in the end, after really considering what all of these types of videos do, there are two most important components of a strong […]

Communicating to membership base can be a tricky one, especially when changes are made and members need need to update information. When enhancing a website program for a membership search in an organisation, it often helps to see the benefits from the eyes of the consumer. For this clip, we followed Fiona from The Garage Studio & two of her clients. We explored the interaction of a wedding & corporate client in using Search for a Pro, and wove animation to give it some ‘pop’.                     Music: Audiojungle AIPP Search for […]

Part of a brand awareness campaign, this video is the third production for Bluey Merino Traveling to Walcha NSW earlier this year, we had the privilege to capture the soul of the Karori farm and the people who grow the wool for the Bluey Merino garments. In this short film we capture the people in their work and give you the opportunity to share the heart behind the growers. A huge thanks to Rob & Katrina from Karori for their cooperation and most importantly, to Bluey Merino for giving us this opportunity. Music licence: The Music Bed bluey merino – […]

I can’t believe the cost of that event?!?! This is an objection most event organisers would face and can sometimes, in spite of an amazing array of presenters, be hard to overcome. I’ve organised events myself (for my video industry colleagues) and have on many occasions heard these very words. How do you justify? How do you over come this? How do you prove that the educational and social events organised are AMAZING and well worth the investment? Play Strategic Most event organisers will use multiple strategies to get the word out about the planned event. There will be blog […]

The story of “The Angry Butcher” initially commenced as a project to raise awareness of depression and to support the beyondblue charity fundraiser, at The AIPP Nikon Event in Perth this year (2015). When Rochelle and I first met Bruce, we knew that he had a story that would evolve far deeper than just an awareness and fundraising film. It’s often difficult for a person to share moments in their life that shape and change them…whether it be good or bad experiences. But one thing we know is that these experiences make us who we are, and that is worth […]

As an educator, I know the value of keeping an audience engaged. It can be a tough gig and especially at a conference where a key goal is to be visually stimulating and educational. This year we teamed up with Nicola McKay, FBA Vic State Manger to create a video case study that became the basis and reference point for all other presenters. For FBA, the case study has become a far greater tool than just for the event. In speaking with Nicola, she has mentioned that many attendees have since spoken about the video, which allowed them to put […]

Aitken College is an innovative school so creating a conference style program to prepare year 12 students, is something of a different approach. Working with Aitken College at the start of 2015, we were asked to capture the essence of a program that was geared towards enlightening parents, teachers and the directors of the school of what students were experiencing. Our goal for this project was to capture the essence of what the students were experiencing, and share a professional viewpoint of the presenters. You could be absolutely brilliant in your chosen profession but the language barrier can be such an overwhelming road block. For this school, we took on the project knowing that Chambers Institute wanted to be different – to take a film […]

In working with Premier Studios, we were looking at creating a film that not only shared the important points of how their style differed to others in their industry, but show it in an authentic way. It is an amazing experience to have the trust of a client, one who appreciates your expertise & creativity in getting the job done…this makes the job more rewarding because we ourselves have great heart and soul in the task at hand. With a new addition to Office Space Central at Flemington Rd, we were asked to create a video to promote the appeals of the location. Our meeting with the office manager highlighted key points that he wanted to bring out – close to the city, freeways and parks, with onsite parking available. Taking this on board, our team put their heads together to create a promotional film that captured the essence of this office space. As a business owner, we felt that seeing these benefits through the eyes of a professional would make this company stand out from their competitors…real […]
